Private Education Affairs Office

The Ajman Private Education Affairs Office is a specialized government entity, established under Amiri Decree No. (6) of 2024, and enjoys full legal personality and capacity to carry out its functions. The Office is responsible for organizing the private education sector in the Emirate, supervising it, and overseeing its institutions, ensuring the quality of educational outcomes and their alignment with the general policies of the UAE and the Emirate.

The Office also undertakes several key functions, most notably:

  • 01 Developing policies and strategic plans regulating private education.
  • 02 Proposing legislation and regulations relevant to the sector.
  • 03 Issuing licenses and permits for private educational institutions and their staff.
  • 04 Monitoring compliance of educational institutions with approved regulations and standards.
  • 05 Taking necessary oversight and evaluation measures in accordance with applicable legislation.
  • 06 Developing and enhancing the private education environment.
  • 07 Strengthening the efficiency and readiness of educational and administrative staff.
  • 08 Supporting programs and initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of education and achieving sustainability.
  • 09 Enhancing coordination and integration with relevant entities at the local and federal levels, in support of the Emirate’s goals and future directions in the education sector.
