94,447 Students Resume Attendance in Private Schools on January 5 After Winter Break

Private schools in the UAE will resume their academic sessions on Monday, January 5, 2025, following the winter break. Approximately 94,447 students will return to their classrooms across 48 private schools, marking a 6.8% increase compared to the previous year. Students in the first cycle represent the largest group, followed by those in the second cycle and kindergarten, then the third cycle, reflecting the continuous growth in the private education sector and increasing enrollment across various educational stages.


Her Excellency Ayesha Sultan Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Ajman Office of Private Education Affairs, confirmed that this return marks an important milestone in the academic year. She highlighted that schools are fully prepared to welcome students with educational and organizational plans that balance academic achievement and mental well-being. She added that this return provides an opportunity to reinforce educational values and discipline, as well as to continue developing students’ skills, aligning with the country's vision for sustainable quality education and creating a learning environment that combines seriousness with care for students’ well-being, contributing to preparing generations capable of learning and innovation.
